Every year, the colourful traditional Yulan Festival (also called Hungry Ghost Festival) of the 30 Houses Neighbourhood will be held in Central. Last Sunday, on the eve of the annual event, we have successfully held the special pre-festival short-film screening and walking tour along the Shing Wong Street stairs.
For decades, the stairs along Shing Wong Street have humbly witnessed the ups and downs of its historic neighbourhood. This public space not only records traces of local history and culture, but also provides people with opportunities to interact and engage with other users.
We were excited to meet many local kai-fongs and curious tourists, thanks for making our day! Stay tuned to our upcoming VeryHK events, the next community gathering will be announced soon!
